So this is the festival season is finally here. This year the Nubyen team had the privilege of attending Coachella (California) & met a lot of our wonderful loyal supporters. We loved Kendrick Lamar's performance, sipping on some green juices and chilling in the rose garden. Nude lips were on trend and we loved seeing how you girls would pair our Nubyen Nude with matte lipsticks.
We cant wait to head to Coachella again next year for lots of Nubyen Nude giveaways & competitions. Its also the start of the highly anticipated British festival season and so its time to get on board with this summers festival beauty trends! I (Rosie) attended love saves the day in Bristol (UK) this bank holiday weekend and was blown away by all the stunning and quirky makeup, festival makeup is no longer just some facepaint on the cheekbones, its a whole unique beauty trend! First lets talk glitter, we were in awe at the glitter on the spring/summer shows this year with Giamba having glitter shapes on models faces,Marc Jacobs glitter eyeshadow and most impressively both DKNY and Fendi went for big bold & beautiful glitter lips.
With these stunning glitter lips our Nubyen Nude lip augmentation gloss works perfectly to enhance the look as you can use it in conjunction with other lipsticks or use it as a base for lip glitter. So thought of the day Nubyen Nude Lip Augmentation Gloss + Lip glitter = THE ULTIMATE FESTIVAL LIP MAKEUP
The bare-faced look also seems to be blowing up again this summer with Michael Kors and Proenza Schouler going for the no makeup look at their shows. This beauty trend is brilliant news for all of us festival goers who wakeup in a hot sticky tent after maybe a few too many cocktails not feeling very glamorous at all and definitely not fancying spending an hour squinting at our makeup on our phone cameras ! Nubyen nude lip plumper uses active natural ingredients including collagen, menthol, & lemongrass,so long live the natural, throw on some Nubyen lip plumpler to help yourself feel once again glamorous you are ready to go dance the day away again! Nubyen nude lip plumper is a safe alternative to irreversible lip fillers and daunting procedures.
The lifestyle edit: Rainy Days
The weather has been so so crazy these past few weeks, (Here in the UK) theres been a day this week where I was able to go outside to a local park and get some pretty photographs with my new acro yoga partner in the sunshine but as I write this post its raining outside and im in my dressing gown! I think its nice to let the weather play into our daily lives though to help nurture us as nature really does influence us (as well as our gorgeous new activewear range (Nubyen Second Skin) with graphics inspired by the beautiful world around us. As we fall into summer we should try doing our workouts outside, double bonus you'll get a tan!
A fun little way to do this while also celebrating the sunshine would be to flow through some yogic sun salutations. You start standing in mountain pose, flow your arms to the ceiling then fold forward, step back into a plank then lower down to the ground, take a mini backbend then come into a downdog, when your ready you step back into that forward fold then grow tall. Bonus is our Nubyen activewear is inspired by Californian yogis who practice all day in the sunshine!
However if its raining hard outside, its sweet to stay inside and listen to the calming sound of rain, when you're not outside getting soaked in. You could learn how to cook some healthy comfort food (At the Nubyen HQ this is one of our particular favourites)!
Here is my favourite recipe for vegan refined sugar free mocha nutella!
1 medium jar
- 2 cups of hazelnuts
- Coconut oil
- Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of coconut sugar/maple syrup/agave nectar (sweetener of choice!)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar free choclate powder ( I love green and blacks dark chocolate hot chocolate powder)
- 1 teaspoon of ground coffee (I use more but I am a coffee fiend so keep that in mind if you are too!)
- ½ a teaspoon of salt
1) Heat your oven to 160 and roast the hazelnuts for about 10 minutes until the skins have darkened.
2) Put the nuts in a damp tea towel (this will be messy) and fold up and rub rub rub until the skins come off, pick out the now naked nuts and put them in a food processor (a little skin wont hurt).
3) Process the nuts, after about 5 minutes add in your coconut oil & continue to process for another 5 minutes.
4) Add in all the other ingredients and continue to process for 10 minutes roughly.
