The weather has been so so crazy these past few weeks, theres been a day this week where I was able to go outside to a local park and get some pretty photographs with my new acro yoga partner in the sunshine but as I write this post its raining outside and im in my dressing gown! I think its nice to let the weather play into our daily lives though to help nurture us as nature really does influence us (as well as our gorgeous new activewear range with graphics inspired by the beautiful world around us). As we fall into summer we should try doing our workouts outside, double bonus you'll get a tan! A fun little way to do this while also celebrating the sunshine would be to flow through some yogic sun salutations. You start standing in mountain pose, flow your arms to the ceiling then fold forward, step back into a plank then lower down to the ground, take a mini backbend then come into a downdog, when your ready you step back into that forward fold then grow tall. Bonus is our Nubyen activewear is inspired by Californian yogis who practice all day in the sunshine!
However if its raining hard outside, its sweet to stay inside and listen to the calming sound of rain your not outside getting soaked in. You could learn how to cook some healthy comfort food! Here is my favourite recipe for vegan refined sugar free mocha nutella!
Mocha nutella
30 minutes
1 medium jar
Ingredients
- 2 cups of hazelnuts
- Coconut oil
- Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of coconut sugar/maple syrup/agave nectar (sweetener of choice!)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar free choclate powder ( I love green and blacks dark chocolate hot chocolate powder)
- 1 teaspoon of ground coffee (I use more but I am a coffee fiend so keep that in mind if you are too!)
- ½ a teaspoon of salt
1)Heat your oven to 160 and roast the hazelnuts for about 10 minutes until the skins have darkened.
2)Put the nuts in a damp tea towel (this will be messy) and fold up and rub rub rub until the skins come off, pick out the now naked nuts and put them in a food processor (a little skin wont hurt).
3)Process the nuts, after about 5 minutes add in your coconut oil & continue to process for another 5 minutes.
4) Add in all the other ingredients and continue to process for 10 minutes roughly.
